Role description
 
We are looking for a driven and outgoing technical sales engineer who wants to work in a healthy and growing organization. You will be representing a well established company with a good reputation in the industry. We can offer a technical stimulating and varied job which includes traveling abroad.
 
Since our customer base and marketing efforts are expanding, we require an enthusiastic and talented Technical Sales Engineer to support our sales and service efforts and contribute towards new sales and technical strategies. The Technical Sales Engineer will be key in managing sales projects and relationships with customer in South East Asia. For the right person there is a big opportunity to grow within the company.
 
Skills and abilities
  • Must be Singaporean
  • Must have driving licence with some years experience
  • 5-7 years of sales experience
  • The position calls for a person who enjoys dealing with people, creating and maintaining relationships as well as making a good impression both personally and for the organisation.
  • Gaining the enthusiastic commitment of others is an important component of this position.
  • Technical interest and background. Preferably an engineer education within machinery/industry
  • Knowledge of Load Cells and instrumentation, PLC programming and computers
  • Knowledge of the Offshore and Lifting industry within the ASEAN region.
  • Recognized Engineering qualification
  • Commercial awareness and knowledge of quoting and invoicing
  • Ideal candidate must be self-motivated and driven in sales and service
  • Fluent verbal and written skills in English
  • A humble yet fearless approach with excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Listening skills and ability to confidently communicate with people at all levels of an organization
  • Desire to grow within the company and deal with multiple market responsibilities, as well as facilitating new business development for company growth
  • High level of initiative, energy and willingness to cooperate and learn from senior member of the organization
Duties:
  • Maintain high levels of customer service to existing clients.
  • Deal with customer orders and enquiries appropriately and in a timely manner, (expectations are within 24 hours).
  • Proactive generation of profitable new business both from existing clients and new clients in line with the company’s business strategy.
  • Building of relationships with clients.
  • Participate and represent DLM/Talurit at trade-shows and exhibitions.
  • Proactively scheduling and attending visits to clients sites and attendance in client meetings. Achieving of sales targets set and agreed with Talurit / DLM’s Managing Director’s.
